Oxted

Oxted is situated at the foot of the beautiful North Downs. Its excellent road (A25 and M25) and rail connections (Victoria and London Bridge) make it a popular choice for commuters. Oxted is also a great location for families: Oxted School is one of the most popular state senior schools in the county and the area offers several private schools including Hazelwood, Laverock and Caterham. In terms of leisure facilities the town offers The Screen cinema, Tandridge Leisure Centre (25m pool, lagoon pool and gym), Limpsfield Tennis Club, Tandridge Golf Club, The Barn Theatre, Master Park and a thriving town with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Limpsfield

Limpsfield village, with its historic high street, is on the same side of the A25 as Oxted and benefits from its proximity to this town (see above) which is in walking distance. The village is in a conservation area and has many buildings of historic interest dating as far back as the 12th century. Much of the parish is woodland and common land protected by the National Trust and the Woodland Trust. It is a haven for those who enjoy country walks with The North Downs Way, Pilgrims Way and Greensand Way all in easy reach.

The hamlet of Limpsfield Chart lies to the south of the A25 within High Chart, a large area of woodland owned by the National Trust which offers an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways. Some of the properties in this highly desirable area offer spectacular views towards the coast.

Limpsfield boasts its own golf course, tennis club and cricket club.

Hurst Green

Hurst Green is a large village to the south of Oxted bordered to the east and west by woodland. The area includes the Holland Estate, which has its own shop and pub, Merle Common and Broadham Green. Hurst Green station is on the Victoria and London Bridge line. Journey time to either station is approximately 45 minutes.

Tandridge

Tandridge is a pretty hamlet on Tandridge Lane, which leaves the A25 heading south between Oxted and Godstone. Tandridge has a beautiful church, traditional English pub (The Barley Mow) a popular Church of England Infant School (St Peter's) and Tandridge Village Pre School. It is also host to the annual National Egg Throwing Championships.

Westerham

Westerham is a historic, picturesque town with a wealth of good restaurants. It is situated on the Kent section of the A25 between Oxted and Sevenoaks which provides access to the M25 and A21. In terms of schools Westerham offers Churchill Church of England primary school and, in nearby Sundridge, Coombe Bank which is a private school offering nursery to sixth form education.

Caterham

Caterham is popular for its communication and educational facilities. It has its own rail link to Victoria and London Bridge and the East Grinstead line is also accessible at Upper Warlingham. The town offers several state junior schools and three private preparatory schools: Caterham, Oakhyrst and Essendene. De Stafford (state) and Caterham School (private) offer senior school education.

Caterham town itself offers a good range of high street shops, pubs and restaurants plus a library, there are further shops, restaurants and pubs in the smaller high street at Caterham on the Hill.

There are several parks in the area and de Stafford sports centre offers indoor sporting facilities.

The Village at Caterham on the Hill, which was formerly an army barracks, is a community within its own right; it has its own Tesco, doctors' surgery, veterinary practice and sports centre and is also the home of Skaterham - an indoor skate park.

Godstone

Godstone is a thriving traditional English village complete with school, pond , cricket green and church conveniently situated on the axis of the A22 and A25 just off junction 6 of the M25. The village offers a handful of useful shops and several pubs plus Godstone Farm. It has its own bowls, cricket, football and tennis clubs plus Godstone Golf Club at Streete Court.

South Godstone

South Godstone is slightly to the South of Godstone on the A22 . It has its own railway station offering links to London, Crawley and Gatwick (via Redhill). Excellent rail links via Redhill.

Blindley Heath

Heading south on the A22 beyond South Godstone is Blindley Heath which is well known locally for its camping shop and Osney Farm shop. Blindley Heath includes South Park, which offers extensive footpaths and bridleways and beautiful scenery.

Woldingham

Situated on the top of the North Downs, Woldingham is one of the most prestigious addresses in Surrey. The village is characterised by desirable detached houses and has a small parade of shops, village hall and green at its centre. Woldingham Station is less than 30 minutes from London (Victoria and London Bridge) and whilst the area inevitably attracts commuters it is very much an active community; it has drama, cricket and tennis clubs and two golf clubs (North Downs and Woldingham) plus a local state primary school (Woodlea). Oxted County, Warlingham and de Stafford are the nearest state senior schools, Woldingham School and Caterham School the nearest private schools.

Tatsfield

Tatsfield is situated between Oxted and Croydon on the Surrey/Kent/Greater London border. The area is surprisingly rural given its proximity to Croydon. Tatsfield village, which centres on a pond and green, has more than five miles of unmade road. Tatfield School and the picturesque church of St Mary's are situated outside the village.
